Court Transcripts

All court proceedings are recorded by a court reporter or by an electronic recording operator.

To order an electronic copy of a tape or CD, or a paper transcript of an electronic recorded proceeding, contact the electronic recording operator listed below. The cost is $32.00 for an electronic copy of a CD or tape. For paper transcripts of an electronic recording proceeding, the recording operator provides the customer an estimated number of pages and the transcriber’s name for payment. Advance payment to the transcriptionist must be made before the order is officially placed.

All other orders for transcripts should be directed to the court reporter who produced the record. Financial arrangements for payment at the rates listed in the court’s fee schedule, set by the Judicial Conference, will be made when transcripts are ordered. Ordering parties proceeding under the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) must create an AUTH-24 in eVoucher for each court reporter. Instructions can be found (here).
